The company was established in the capital of Iran, Tehran in 1940 by Hassan Keshavarzi who specialized from those early days in old and tribal carpets. The tradition and expertise continues with Morteza (Mohammad) Keshavarzi who took over the family business in 1983 under the name . Now for over seventy years the head office is still in the Tehran carpet bazaar, but the horizons are extended to include Europe, the United States and Japan. Together with his spouse Annemiek, after living in China for several years, he developed a new passion for old and antique Asian furniture. After settling down in The Netherlands, in September 2011 a new branch of the company was opened in The Hague: the gallery . A carefully selected collection of exclusive antique and unique Persian carpets, kilims and Asian furniture are presented in the gallery. The presentation in the gallery is enriched with various special and antique traditional crafts (silver, brass, copper, jade, porcelain, wood carving).
